So, how do you pamper yourself when you're poorly?

i've got a throat infection.

i came home today and went for broke.

on my lovely king size bed with: cushions, cosy blanky, ipad, kindle, tv remote, candles, hot toddy, phone, and lots of wallowing self pity.

Planes trains and automobiles

The new, new iPad ... will the iSheeple feel 'had'?

so apple just released the new new ipad ... almost 2x the performance in cpu, gpu, wifi, lte etc.... makes me wonder, is that the reason that the last ipad didn't get a number?

they must have known and already been working on this version as the 'proper' one but some pieces of tech weren't ready so the last one was a stop-gap release.

if so, i wonder how the isheeple will react once they wise up?

I bought an iPad yesterday, I figured even if I bought one the day after a new version is released it will still be out of date within a year. I like my Google nexus 7 for its portability.

I've been seeing stuff popping up in my Facebook feed about this, JWs posting stuff like 'oh this terrible world' and 'if everyone were JWs there would be no murders'. Well yes, there would, actually.

my father passed around 9 this morning.

he'd been in poor health for some time, but it still comes as a shock to have him gone.

we are going to miss him terribly.

Did the ending of John Carpenter's The Thing sit right with you?

it bothers me, was it childs or macready?

was it either?

anybody remember when it was at theaters, did the ending generate conversation?.

I love the original, I haven't seen the remake yet. I'm not a fan of modern horror but I loved John Carpenter's early stuff. I think The Thing is one of those rare movies where the ambiguous ending is good. i worked with hank aaron's daughter for 18 months.

she was a sweet lady.

Actually I was wrong. I only realised when I was chatting to an actor friend at the school gates and remembered he's famous (not Tom Cruise famous but in films/television).
